About Our AcademySt. Catherine was founded in 1868, soon after the Civil War. The small town of New Haven, of which our building stands, felt cannon balls thunder through the air.
The people of the Kentucky Holy Land have always been resilient and they built an educational institution that still raises up virtuous young people in our own times.
Students who leave these doors go out into the world as lights, as leaders, and the stewards of this legacy. -

Mission Statement
St. Catherine School is a co-educational Catholic elementary school, which is faithful to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church and magisterium. The primary mission of St. Catherine is to assist families in the total Christian formation of their children, as well as the promotion of academic excellence in an atmosphere that creates the development of the inner self as well as a sense of social responsibility of family, parish and community.
