Our classrooms are places of wonder, where the minds, hearts, and souls of children can be nurtured.
Teacher-Led, Small Class Sizes, Low Tech
We have a well-experienced Catholic staff that works together to assist the formation of your child.
With an average class size of around 13 students, our teachers develop deep care for each student they have. When given space to recognize each child's individual strengths and weaknesses, a teacher is thus able to educate each child better.
The other benefit of small class sizes is that each student is able to know one another. That is why St. Catherine Academy feels like a family.
In fact, most of the 8th grade students will have met and know all of the teachers here before their graduation, from their first day of school until it is time to go to high school. Each student will consistently see all other students throughout the day and the concept of an "outsider" or "stranger" quickly fades away.
Lastly, the art of teaching is a human thing, irreplaceable by technology. Knowing this, yet also realizing that technology can be useful in certain ways (such as typing an essay), we are a low tech school. Our classrooms have modern smartboards and Chromebooks for students, but the main curriculum comes through in textbook form. Learn more about what our students learn.
